Sensei's Intro To Olympic Weightlifting
This program is inspired by my first coach, John Drewes, who was the assistant USA Weightlifting coach in the 1970s and 1980s. When I first started Olympic weightlifting at the age of 14, he had me training two to three times a week. I followed this routine consistently for about four years, seeing progress even while participating in other sports and maintaining a high level of physical activity.
This program is designed to help you learn Olympic weightlifting and improve your technique while still enjoying other forms of exercise. It follows a fundamental, "meat and potatoes" approach to Olympic lifting. Once you've completed the 12-week program, you can continue running it as long as you see progress. Just because the 12 weeks are over does not mean the program is no longer beneficial.
